ALUMINIUM SHUTTERS:
Roller shutters made of aluminium profile are widely used to cover window, door and garage openings, providing both insulation and protection. They are used in private homes, shopping centres, offices and other places.
Aluminium is the optimum material for roller shutters because of its advantages:
- Compact: when retracted, they take up very little space, which does not alter the interior design of the room. - Aesthetics: Aluminium roller shutters have a pleasant appearance, and their function guarantees a comfortable security system and perfect thermal insulation. They protect your home from burglary, noise, rain and glaring sunlight. - Lightweight: this allows them to be operated with a less powerful drive. - Affordable: Aluminium shutters are slightly cheaper than steel shutters and are more resistant to corrosion and therefore more durable.
PLASTIC BLINDS:
The use of plastic for roller shutters is not very common for security functions. This material is more economical and is often used when there is little chance of penetration through window openings. Plastic variants are more often used as decorative or sun protection elements. The main advantages of roller blinds are: - No space is required to open the blades: the blade slides easily upwards and is concealed in a special box. - The main advantage of plastic blinds is the possibility of replacing only the damaged slats in case of failure. - They insulate well against noise. They considerably reduce noise from water, hail, rain, wind, equipment. - They are durable: their systems are designed for 40 000 opening cycles, the material is resistant to household chemicals, direct sunlight and does not corrode. Their disadvantages are increased electrostatic and resistance to mechanical damage, which makes them unsuitable for burglary protection.
STEEL SHUTTERS:
Steel is one of the most popular materials for roller shutters. Steel roller shutters are very strong and impossible to break into, which guarantees 100% protection of the room against burglars.
Steel roller shutters are best controlled by an electric motor, which opens and closes them automatically. It is practically impossible to do this manually.
Steel is more durable than aluminium, which is its main advantage. Steel shutters have several decisive advantages:
- Guaranteed protection of premises against burglary; - Greater base strength and anti-shock properties; - Fire safety; - Resistance to corrosion and deformation; - Good soundproofing and heat-saving properties; - Versatility (they can be used not only as protective structures, but also as decorative elements); - Long service life and extended warranty (more than 10 years).
Due to these properties, steel shutters are widely used in installations where a higher level of protection is required (e.g. to protect expensive equipment or other valuable objects). They provide reliable protection of windows and doors against intruders.
However, it is important to note that steel structures are quite heavy, so care must be taken before transporting them to the installation site.
