EXTERNAL BOX
There are several types of security shutter installation, which affect their appearance and functionality. They depend on the type of box, which can be external or recessed, and its location in relation to the opening.
The most popular are roller shutters with an external box, which can be installed both in buildings under construction and in buildings with a completed façade. Depending on the location of the box, there are six basic types of installation: on the façade, between walls, in an opening, in a window frame, in a screen or in a lintel. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, so the choice of installation should depend on the specific installation conditions and the customer's needs.
INSIDE BOX
The integrated safety shutter system is designed for concealed mounting of structures. If the sash is raised, it is very difficult to see the product visually. A security roller shutter of this design is installed in a specially prepared recess for the box and guide rails. It is recommended to install it before insulating the façade to ensure better thermal insulation and energy efficiency of the building.
SURFACE BOX
The blind is installed and fixed to the wall of the building. The size of the construction is determined by the width of the opening, the width of the guides and the height of the opening, as well as the height of the drawer. At the customer's request, the height of the blind can be increased with the size of the final profile, so that it does not cover the light opening when the sash is raised. This installation method is the most effective in saving heat, since an air layer is created between the window (or door) and the window. It is advisable to install the blind before insulating the façade so that it can be attached to the wall more easily and safely.
TOP BOX INSIDE
The installation method in which the roller shutter is installed indoors has a number of differences compared to the previous method. It can be used in cases where it is not possible to install the roller shutter outside due to the façade or other reasons. However, this installation method reduces heat savings, as there is no air cushion between the window and the glass (or door).
